Creativity in Britain's Prisons
by Magdalen Evans
Monday 16th January 2023
Magdalen visits prisoners in Wormwood Scrubs to teach them creative skills. This talk explains her work and examines the huge range of arts and crafts produced with very limited materials, including fine needlework, models, porcelain, sculptures and paintings. She will also tell us about the important role of the arts in these difficult surroundings.
