Walking Tour
Kensington Village
by Russell Nash
Monday 31 October 2022
We usually don't think of Kensington as a village, more of a place for museums and a Royal Palace. But Kensington has always been a highly desirable residential area and the story of its development is one of artists and aristocrats, poets and politicians.
It is home to the most expensive houses in London and boasts some of the most exclusive cafes and boutiques, but it still retains a village atmosphere.
At its heart, of course, is Kensington Palace, home in the past to Diana, Princess of Wales and the young Queen Victoria, and for the time being it is the London residence of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their young family.
The meeting point will be advised later.
