Dry January - Alcohol in Art

If you're abstaining from drinking in January then this talk will both help and hinder your efforts as this lecture looks at drinking in art. Since the early Romans and Greeks, alcohol has been an important subject for artists. We examine the way drink and drinking is depicted, the social messages portrayed, and how alcohol affected the lives of many artists, their families and friends.​
